Herald editorial: same useless crap

Attend the Youth Summit brought to you by Youth Connect next Saturday.
It's an important event.
There, I said it.
And it didn't take me 500 words, Dona Dreeland, editor.
Your editorial in this week's Sewickley Herald only goes to show what's wrong with the Quaker Valley -- unimportant issues trumping important ones.
The Youth Summit is a great idea. Get all of these delinquent Sewickley, Edgeworth, etc. kids off the streets, off heroin and booze and the crack pipe. Get the cheerleading team off the corners and clean up the place.
Really? Do the children of the Quaker Valley have that problems that are that serious? Should I feel sorry for them?
Let me guess, Youth Connect programming is tied to a church?...
Nonetheless, it could be helpful, I suppose.
But to devote 500 words to it when there are other things are happening?
A shame and a waist. The only people that might attend the Youth Summit will be those with a stake in it -- those of us with kids.
Everyone else couldn't care less, good or bad.
And your editorial didn't make me, for one, care any more.
Yes, folks, it's like that. No one is safe.
