QV board member is part of Prizant's ownership

It seems the Sewickley Herald yet again refuses to cover news of Sewickley. Mark Scioscia is one of the Quaker Valley school board members and one of the owners of the Prizants carpet stores that many people are mad at.
But did the Sewickley Herald mention that when they wrote the story? No. Why would they? The Herald is out to protect its friends in good old do nothing wrong Sewickley. Good reporting there.
You can find references to Scioscia being on the school board in a January 4th edition of the P-G. Not in the Sewickley Herald.

I am owed 13,084.22 from Prizant's Carpet that Mark Scoscia and Rob Lang owned. Thank you for your time, Dave DePalma
Based upon action finalized in Allegheny County Common Please Court, it appears Prizant had a real problem long before it was reported in the Press. See case # AR-07-012894.
The Prizant Carpet problem comment of 4/6/2008 made reference to Allegheny County Common Please Case AR-07-012894 but did not give specifics. The nature of the Complaint was:
1. Prizant knowingly substituted inferior padding without notice.
2. Prizant will not provide documentation relating to the transaction.
3. Prizant made charges for performance not rendered.
****
These problems arose in the summer of 2006.
My Case #AR-07 12894 was based upon fraudulent business activity during the summer of 2006. There was considerable communication with the PA AG Office, but a decision was made not to cover this item in the Settlement relating to the 100 or so deceived customers revealed in the Press.
Considerable written documentation reveals Prizant Carpets systematically violated PA consumer laws,in my instance for penalties exceeding $10,000, but there no was AG effort to enforce the law. I can only suppose this was not enough of a "big picture" item to merit AG activity.
This is a good reason why PA needs a legislative mandated Consumer Advocate Office. If such had been the case Prizant's fraudulent activity could have been exposed more than a year earlier. Presently a wayward concern needs only to keep under the "big picture" threshold to avoid any real AG problem.
It appears no penalties were assessed in any matter concerning Prizant Carpets. It's much like a burgler returning half of his booty to avoid the penalty of breaking and entering.
