Week 7 Warriors vs Vikings

The Warriors were taken by surprise the first play of the game when Viking QB completed a 65 yard bomb for a touchdown. The first score of the game took just six seconds off of the clock. That would be the last touchdown the Vikings would score the remainder of the game. After a few plays the Warriors were on the Vikings 23 yard line when Tyrone Goosby took a toss sweep around the left side and with a crushing block by RB Antwan Peoples Goosby was free to run down the sideline untouched for the score. The Vikings second drive of he game looked to be promising advancing to the Warriors 35 yard line but, the defense along with LB Anthony Raspberry put an end to the drive. With the change of procession the Warriors offense would produce some big plays from Will Peake with a 20 yard catch from David Brickner and a 40 yard run from RB Vido Nalls. Unfortunately the drive stalled on an interception on the Warriors goal line. After the interception the Vikings returned the ball to the Warriors 25 yard and they were ready to start there drive. But, the Warriors defensive pressure was too much for the Vikings to handle. On third down Vikings quarterback was flushed out the pocket by Raspberry and LB Ameer Dudley sacked the Vikings quarterback for a six yard loss. On the Punt Warriors punt returner John Hawk had a 20 yard return to help give the Warriors good field procession. On the Vikings next procession after a first down they would be forced to punt. Following the Vikings punt Warriors RB Tyrone Goosby would break 5 tackles and on his way into the end zone but lost the ball as the Vikings recovered the ball on their own 2 yard line. However the Vikings were not able to generate any offense and would be forced to punt. On the punt CB Jason Kelderhouse would come off the weak side and block the Vikings punt knocking the ball out of the end zone for a safety. The Warriors next offense drive would stall but some good plays were made and recent addition to the Warriors team QB Shahid Farris saw his first significant time of the season. On the Warriors punt the Vikings would once again be pinned inside the 5 yard line. The Viking managed to move the ball out to the Warriors 35 yard line but on the next pass attempt Warriors LB Ameer Dudley stepped in front of the pass intercepting and returning the ball to the Vikings 7 yard line. On the ensuing play RB Antwan Peoples would take the ball in for the Warriors final score. The fourth quarter was more of the same as the Warriors defense kept the Vikings out of the end LB Anthony Raspberry would record his 8th sack of the season, and Dudley recovered a fumbled Vikings pitch. QB Farris showed he was picking up the offense as he completed a key third down conversion to Will Peake for a 20 yard game, and also had a scramble out of the pocket for 15 yards. To wrap the game up Peake had two electrifying runs of 45 yards and 20 yards, where in traditional Peake style he made defenders miss, reversed field and outran opponents.
