Interstate 79 at the I-279 split will be reduced to one lane Sunday morning, weather permitting, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Lane closures will begin just before midnight on Saturday and continue through noon Sunday.

Crews are installing overhead sign structures about southbound I-79 north of the I-279 split in Franklin Park.

The work is part of the $61 million I-79 Section 35M improvement project from the Neville Island Bridge to Interstate 279 in Aleppo, Robinson, Neville and Ohio townships and the boroughs of Glenfield, Sewickley Hills and Franklin Park.
