Quaker Valley Orchestra opens the district's spring concert season with a performance in the high school auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on April 21.

The first of 10 concerts that feature the talents of district students, this event offers a variety of music including choral, band, jazz band, symphonic band and orchestra. The concert season ends with the marching band's appearance in the annual Memorial Day Parade, heralding the start of summer.

All concerts are free and start at 7:30 p.m. -- except for the concerts scheduled for May 8 and May 15.

• High School Jazz Ensemble, April 22, at the Masonic Village;

• Edgeworth & Osborne Fifth Grade Band, Chorus & Orchestra, April 23, at Osborne Elementary School;

• Grades 7-12 Band Concert, May 1, at Quaker Valley High School;

• Sixth Grade Band, Chorus and Orchestra Concert, May 5, at Quaker Valley High School;

• Edgeworth Fourth Grade Band, Chorus and Strings Concert, May 8, at 7 p.m. at Edgeworth Elementary School;

• Middle School Chorus Concert, May 12, at Quaker Valley High School;

• High School Chorus Concert, May 14, at Quaker Valley High School;

• Osborne Third Grade Recorders and Osborne Fourth Grade Band & Strings, May 15, at 7 p.m. at Osborne Elementary School;

• The Small Ensemble Concert, May 21, at Quaker Valley High School.
